Montana Defeats Howard Rich in a First Round TKO

In case you haven't gotten enough of my posts on Montana politics...

Great news from Montana today, where big moneyed out of state interests (a.k.a Howard Rich) were dealt a defeat in a courtroom, when a judge ruled that 3 statewide initiatives on the November ballot were invalid due to fraud.

The decision comes in response to a lawsuit filed by initiative opponents who claimed the integrity of the initiative process was tainted by paid out-of-state signature gatherers.

Sandefur agreed, writing that the signature gathering process “was permeated by fraud and procedural non-compliance perpetrated by paid, out of state, migrant signature gatherers” paid for the initiative backers.
Looks like Governor Schweitzer won't have to debate Howard Rich after all.

Left In The West has more on the story.
